10月21日，国际岩土力学计算方法与进展学会（International Association for Computer Methods and Advances in Geomechanics）主席John Carter教授给东北大学冯夏庭教授颁发了该学会“杰出贡献奖”（Outstanding Contributions Medal）。该奖用于表彰长期在岩土力学基础研究与实践应用方面作出卓越、深远影响和贡献的个人，每三年颁发一次。
